Fear is Awful – So Face It
The more practice you have, the more confidence you get. Then the only way to conquer stage fright is to just go out there and do it. The first couple of times you may be more nervous, and it is normal to feel good-nervous before a performance. But the best performance will be of you showing your moves and dancing naturally, engaging the audience. You have practiced so hard, so let your talent shine through.
Move around and get warmed up, relax and breathe – that will calm your heart rate. Believe in yourself and your value and give the audience what they want. Don’t get caught up in your own worries, but create a positive, self-assured body posture and movements. Act as if you are positive and in control and you will be.
Put on your swag face or smile depending on the dance performance and enjoy yourself on stage. The more you do it, the better you get.
