Happy National Dance Day 2012
July 28, 2012 is National Dance Day and this year is the third annual celebration of the day created by Nigel who also produced So You Think You Can Dance.
3 years ago, Nigel Lythgoe was behind the proposal by Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton to establish National Dance Day which promotes fitness, healthy lifestyle and dance education across the U.S.A.
International Dance Day is on April 29 every year and that was started back in 1982 by the International Dance Committe of International Theatre Institute. On that day, one talented choreographre delivers a message that circulates around the world. The main goal is to celbrate dance across the world and transcend political, cultural and ethnic boundaries to bring people of the world together with the common language of dance.
