JC began hip hop dancing at the age of 7. As he grew, so did his love of dance, moving him forward to study Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Contemporary. He has traveled the continent to work with some of the best companies and choreographers.
In 2008 he won National JUMP VIP, and in 2010, NUVO Breakout Artist. He has worked with hip hop masters such as Misha Gabriel from Michael Jackson’s This Is It, Kenny Wormald star of the Footloose Remake, Ivan Koumaev contestant on Season 2 SYTYCD US, one of Justin Bieber’s principle dancers Nick Demoura and many more! JC has been a cast dancer on ABC’s hit show Extreme Makeover – Home Edition.
He has also been a featured dancer for Break the Floor Productions live performance at the Beacon Theatre in New York City and a special guest in their show at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal Studios California. In 2010 he was company dancer for Tabitha and Napoleon D’umo’s National Dance Day performance in Toronto. He also performed in various small onstage productions throughout North America. JC was given the opportunity to demonstrate for one of Justin Timberlake’s principle dancers Kim McSwain in 2011.
Not only is he a dancer but also a creative teacher and choreographer. As a choreographer he has won overall awards for his hip hop work and has been recognized as one of Canada’s top up and coming hip hop choreographers. JC teaches full time at Premiere Dance Inc. in Burlington ON. and is part of FRESH Dance Intensives faculty. He has been said to have a silky smooth style and to be a type dancer who gives it all they’ve got. JC’s message: “Everyone wants to be the modern day Fosse, but only few will work hard to get there.”
