World Hip Hop Dance Championship 2013
The Hip Hop International 2013 USA hip hop dance championships are being held in Las Vegas August 6-11. Hip Hop International is in 40 countries around the world. The Jabbawockeez performed on stage there in 2012 as they are “at home” in Las Vegas anyways because they have been performing there regularly. In 2012 there were over 2,500 dancers represented.
The 2013 World Battles will be on August 10, 2013 and the USA Championship will be August 3-5. The World Championship is August 6-11 to find the best hip hop dancers and crews in the world. The Co-creaters and executive producers of HHI are the same as ABDC, which won’t be returning for an 8th season. As of this year, MTV did not renew America’s Best Dance Crew. The show has been running for 7 years.
Nevertheless, hip hop dance lives on in Las Vegas live as street dance fans join choreographers, dancers and crews from around the world for a full week of non-stop partying and dancing. Check out the MegaCrews which have to have at least 15 members and can have up to 40 dancers.
Last season big names included Academy of Villians and Elektrolytes.
Have fun getting better at hip hop dance, and one day you may just be in the next winning dance crew!
