Young Kids Love Hip Hop Dance
Some elementary schools are actually bringing dance and hip hop dance into the classroom. Hip hop energizes kids and gets them up onto their feet. Dancing is fun and also a great workout too. Some schools in the U.S. and Canada are now requiring dance as part of their curriculum. Michelle Obama and others are committed to getting kids more active and healthy.
Healthy eating + good night’s sleep + exercise + hip hop dance = a fun and healthy lifestyle.
These kids are busting moves already:
Kids start dancing as early as age 2. Dance lessons will help kids develop self confidence, coordination and also let them have alot of fun.
Kids that learn breakdancing are also learning about fitness and health because some of the moves in hip hop require flexibility and good conditioning too. Dance lessons are also usually started with some warmups which are both strength training and cardio exercises. The stretches will help increase flexibility too.
Dance styles like breaking (bboy or bgirl) and popping, locking, boogaloo and other forms of urban dance styles are performed to hip hop beats and rhythms. After a dancer gets good enough, they will have more fun performing with friends, doing battles in circles and even entering a dance competition for kids.
